The Soft spoken beautiful african queen was recently awarded the AfrIcanAchieversAward in Nairobi-Kenya.Anel de Swardt - Strydom was born in Pretoria, South Africa. She has spent her childhood in Bloemfontein and during her school years she excelled in Drama, Tap dancing and Ballet. She graduated with a BA Drama degree majoring in Drama and Philosophy from the University of the Free State. During her studies she received the Theater Journal Prize for best second -year student and the Elsa Krantz Medal for best final- year student in Drama. As Mrs Commonwealth International 2013, her aim is to better the Quality of life of communities. She is an ambassador for Ikageng Itireleng AIDS Ministry in Orlando west, Soweto and started a Drama club on the premises. She is also involved in other volunteer work.for more info visit
